But what exactly are the criteria to be met to gain this title?  One thing for sure is that eBay Power Sellers are consistent.  You have to consistently maintain a high sales volume and superb customer service ratings that translate to a positive feedback of no less than 98%.  Power Sellers are further categorized into five different tiers.  From lowest to highest, you have bronze, silver, gold, platinum and titanium.  Each category is reflective of your monthly sales level.  This means that each category brings in $1,000, $3,000, $10,000, $25,000 and $150,000 respectively in a month.

$150,000 may be a truly high earnings level to maintain and hit on a consistent basis but lower income tiers still have the potential to earn you both Power Seller status and a decent means of living.  As a Power Seller, you will need to maintain earnings at a certain category for at least 3 months in order to qualify.

However, do not think that being a Power Seller is all about sales.  eBAy deems it just as important to focus on Customer Service.  Remember, the positive feedback requirement is a minimum of 98%.  Do not be daunted by this number.  Good customer service can be as simple as sending a personalized note together with the shipment to thank the customer for his or her purchase.  Adding a small token inside the package goes a long way as well.  These gestures shall not only improve your customer service rating but also promote repeat purchases from customers and more important, customer loyalty.  The more important you make each customer feel, the higher the possibility that he or she will purchase from you again and again.
