The Small Business Scorecard by SurePayroll explains there has been continued job hiring gains in August, while pay compensation had little change. This is similar to the Intuit Small Business Employment Index which had job creation for small businesses at 0.1% or nearly 26,000 jobs. For 2010, small business hiring is up 4.1% nationwide, while business payrolls are down at 0.4%, SurePayroll reports.
